About

I have been working in youth and young adult ministry for the past twenty years. This work allows me to engage in a host of topics centered around the Bible and culture. My passion is to connect young people to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

My story begins in my early teens shortly after my older brother became a Christian. I did not grow up in the church or as a christian believer. What I thought of Christians was not good, and I thought, that I was loosing my brother to a crazy ideology. Then I saw transformation in his life. He also challenged me that if I was going to remain a critic of the Bible I at least needed to read it for myself. I began reading the Bible and that is when everything changed.

What I found in scripture was a God that disappointed my cynicism. After reading the Psalms and the Gospels I had to adjust what I believed to be true of God. The rest of my conversion was a process. I continued to read the Bible and as I prepared to graduate high school I had to make some life decisions. At that point I knew Jesus gave His life for me and that my only real response was to give my life to Him.

This is part of that story.
